Greg Hoffmann has successfully navigated the rough waters of law, business, arbitration and mediation for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1987 and is a retired member of the Missouri and Alaska Bar Associations. His highly successful dispute resolution strategies were born from a successful career in all facets of complex and class action business litigation, including commercial, corporate, licensing, franchise and investment matters. In addition to his extensive litigation background, Mr. Hoffmann brings significant business skills to clients, having been the CEO and co-owner of several privately held businesses involved in publishing, animation, retail, intellectual property licensing and brand development with lifetime domestic and global sales in excess of US$1B. Combining these litigation and business skills with his work as an international graduate school educator, Mr. Hoffmann is well positioned to provide clients with successful strategies to resolve business disputes.
Mr. Hoffmann is a Florida Certified Civil Court and Federal Court Arbitrator and Mediator. In addition to mediating business matters throughout Florida for over twelve years, he is also a commercial arbitrator and mediator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). For the past twelve years he has served as a AAA panel chair and handled a variety of cases including large complex matters, commercial contract, franchise and licensing disputes throughout the United States and in foreign countries. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry National Regulatory Association (FINRA) where he has served as a chair and member on numerous arbitration panels throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
He is an adjunct professor in business and entrepreneurship at Webster University, St. Louis where he has taught in the International MBA program in the areas of Ethics, International Law, Labor Management and Employment Law, Corporate Social Responsibility and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Hoffmann has taught at Webster University’s main St. Louis campus as well as its campuses in Kansas City, Missouri, Tampa and Sarasota, Florida and Shanghai and Chengdu, China. He has a working knowledge of written and spoken Mandarin and he teaches annually in Webster’s International MBA programs in China. In 2017, Mr. Hoffmann received Webster University’s prestigious Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching. He has also been a visiting professor in entrepreneurship at the University of Trinidad and Tobago.
